Destruction Rate of C.S.F. Cells

Abstract

|
Destruction rate of C. S. F. cells according to time is studied. Nine C. S. F. specimens of 6 cases of meningitis and 1 case of cerebral hemorrhage are examined every half to l hour for 24 hours except night time.
The result showed 3 types of destruction rate curves, A, B and C. The A type showed precipitous fall of the number of the cells during the first 1 to 6 hours and B type moderate fall during the same time. The C type showed almost stationary course.
At present with this result, it is recommended that the C.S.F. cells should be examined as soon as it is aspirated.
